I decided to ignore all the extraneous advice and do it my way.
The first idea I had was to weigh myself every day. Sure, I know you are thinking, all the so called experts advise that you should weigh yourself only once a week at most. Why? Because they think you will get “discouraged” if you weigh too often and don’t see results from your diet.
I don’t get feedback fast enough on my efforts or failures if I weigh in only once per week.
The importance of feedback.
I have found that if I weigh myself once a day, I know right away, practically on a continuous basis, whether what I did the day before was helpful (or not).
Of great importance to the reliability of this feedback is to weigh yourself on a highly accurate scale at the same time each day. The best time for me is after awakening before I sit down for breakfast. My first step was to purchase a scale of the best quality. Such quality scales, with appearance very much like one encounters in a doctor’s office, cost approximately $150. This expense is well worth it seeing it imparts great confidence in the results I see. I do not worry they are due to a malfunctioning scale giving varying readings from one weighing to the next.
This feedback shows me the effects that eating a fast food burger with fries at lunch can have on my weight. It shows that I truly will lose weight if I stay on the diet and I can generally see actual results every couple of days.
A week is just too long for me to be able to know what I am doing right and wrong. Weighing each day lets me see the results quite quickly.
Daily weighing can be tough to do - especially when I know I haven’t been “good” the day before. However, even this bad feeling about myself provides a limiting factor to my behaviour the next day.

A depressing problem

Almost all types of this condition are caused by unresolved issues in a person’s life; naturally almost anyone can become depressed about certain aspects of their life. People who are depressed require specialized medical help with their condition and should seek it at an early stage; you need to be making the right decisions to get through the problems facing you and find out the cause and then deal with it.
Throughout our lives there will be many occasions when we will feel low in the same way that there are times when you feel really happy. It is unlikely however, a doctor would diagnose depression if they did feel this way as it is generally a temporary experience. Many people have problems caused by personal issues in relationships or family situations. Some people feel they are unable to act to correct whatever the problem is, but that is the key element in beating the complaint. Problems have a tendency to multiply when they are not corrected and this is very true with this particular condition. This can be unhealthy for the mind and body.
Many more people become depressed owing to their job which may be stressful, or there could be problems with managers and other co-workers which are difficult to resolve. Often, the person who is having work problems will end up unhappy and even have periods of sick leave as they become less able to perform their work duties.

Where the cause for the depression cannot be found, the task of curing the condition becomes much harder. A situation like this can make treating the ailment much more complicated. If there are issues that are hard to work through then help will be needed to resolve these issues. If the sufferer does not believe the reason for the condition it is difficult to move forward.

Unfortunately, new studies have found that owing to new overlap theories it can actually take up to five years before a person could be correctly diagnosed as suffering from this condition.
